This cover art was up on the AOL Radio blog post – Adam Lambert, ‘If I Had You’ — New Song!

‘If I Had You‘ is Adam Lambert’s third single off his debut album ‘For Your Entertainment.’ Penned by Max Martin, Shellback and Savan Kotecha (who have all written hits for Britney Spears, notably ‘If U Seek Amy’ and ’3′), the dance track is heavy with synth back beats and a catchy chorus…

Can’t say I’m too fond of this cover – Adam looks like he’s one of the Vampire overlords from Twilight or something What do you guys think?

Speaking of the song ‘If I Had You‘ though – I do hope this becomes a summer hit – I’m a bit iffy on this one – it has a great beat and is a fun song to dance to – and I liked it on first listen, but boys don’t do well with electronic dance tracks like this in the US, right? I can see it hitting in Europe, so hope Adam’s 3rd single does as well as Whataya Want From Me!

Next stop on Adam Lambert’s European promo tour is Germany! Adam greeted all his fans himself early in the morning with “Good morning Koln!” It’s a crowded schedule again for Adam, and you can check out his Germany comings-and-goings on this site!

For his Apr 29 promo, Monte has already tweeted that they had “played on Ard – Morgenmagazin” (a German morning show). Adam’s interview and performance of Whataya Want From Me is up on the station’s website! (FYI – Adam mentioned in his interview that he’s shooting the music video for If I Had You next week!) Adam is also scheduled to visit several radio stations (Radio Eins, Radio NJoy, Radio NRW). Then it was off to Berlin! (Adam – “Back in Berlin! Woohoo!”) – Adam was spotted arriving at Tegel Airport in Berlin by paps (via celebrity gossip).

For tomorrow, Adam will be visiting BB Radio, Viva Live (another Interview & Performance on TV – you can watch LIVE where he sang Whataya Want From Me), Radio 104.6 RTL, Radio Energy Berlin, and hold a web Chat (www.habbo.de). Longineu tweeted that they were also “ready to Rock OUT MTV Berlin Germany“! AND Monte tweeted that they also “pre-recorded yet another one of a kind version of Whataya Want From Me for NRJ Radio”.

Allison Iraheta was one of the performers (with Chantal Kreviazuk, Raul Midon and Gordie Sampson) at the I Create Music Center Stage at the Highlands for the ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) Expo last April 23. Watch as she sings her heart out for ‘Just Like You’ and ‘Don’t Waste the Pretty’! (although the vid / audio quality isn’t ideal)

She’s feeling pretty blessed and lucky these days – what with turning 18, moving into her own place, making lots of her own money, and a summer tour to look forward to with Adam – I would be too! I mean, what were you doing when you turned 18? (I was, am, a starving student!?)

So, we’ve all been waiting for a leak of Adam Lambert’s last bonus track ‘Can’t Let You Go‘ from the international (UK) release of his album ‘For Your Entertainment’. And we have it finally! I love the vibe of this song … Adam’s vocal range (!!!) is to die for! And when he starts wailing like his heart is breaking … wowza! It’s a break-up song that we can all drink to, right? right?

… And I am still wondering why this or Voodoo or Master Plan or Down the Rabbit Hole all ended up bonus tracks. I’d have much preferred them over Sure Fire Winners or Aftermath for example…

Next stop on Adam Lambert’s European promo tour is Amsterdam, Netherlands! It’s a short visit, but he hit the 3FM Radio station where he did a short 3-song showcase (WWFM, Music Again and Mad World). The Regis and Kelly Show is having a week-long promo for Broadway plays, and in this episode, they featured the newest hit on Broadway – Green Day’s American Idiot broadway musical which recently opened to rave reviews from the New York Times! The three stars of the show – Michael Esper, John Gallagher Jr. and Stark Sands – came on and performed a ballad from the show ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends‘. Very cool performance – liked it!

I’m planning on catching the show on Broadway one of these days, but in the meantime, I already snapped up the cast recording – Green Day’s American Idiot (The Original Broadway Cast Recording) and I LOVE it! Sure, it gets some getting use to with someone else singing Billie Joe’s songs – but these Broadway singers are really really talented. And these don’t come across as show tunes at all – preserving that rock opera aspect from the album. I’m very happy with this cast recording.
