Three of the four original members of Evanescence — guitarists Ben Moody and John LeCompt and drummer Rocky Gray – have formed the band “We Are The Fallen” together with new lead singer – Carly Smithson (of American Idol fame) and bassist Marty O’Brien.

They are offering a FREE download of their first track called “Bury Me Alive” to the first 100,000 registrants at their official site We Are the Fallen.

The new song sounds awfully like the old Evanescence stuff, but then, that’s to be expected right? I mean Ben Moody co-wrote the old stuff. Carly sounds Amy-lite, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing – I mean – honestly, who could top Amy Lee anyway? It’s just funny, it’s kinda like when you meet up with your ex who’s out with the present Gf/Bf and he/she looks/sounds exactly like you … Anyway, go on and register here if you want a copy.

Speaking of – loved Kris saying “We are Kradam” and his saying no to Adakris); wish Ms Parker was still not so hung-up on Adam while interviewing Kris. But still, it was 20 minutes and yay for Kris’ Media Handler telling him to give us a bone already – “Hey Jude”!

“Surely someone couldn’t be that humble and that nice, right? Right?

Except, dear readers…Kris is that nice. He really, really is.

When I interviewed Kris in his dressing room at the Idols Live Tour rehearsals, I tried my darnedest to get him to admit to a little jealousy, or even just assert that he hands-down deserved to win American Idol. But no dice. That’s just not Kris’s style.”
