Giving us their best stank faces

Well, the magazine editors finally woke up and realized Kris Allen deserves some print, too, and man, are they making up for time.

There’s a lot of speculation on his upcoming cover story, but in the meantime, Rolling Stone can’t seem to print a publication without something on him. Well, I guess we could count on Michael Slezak to be courteous, so it really wasn’t the awkward interview that people were expecting. That being said, Danny isn’t an easy interviewee at all – he has a tendency to ramble.

It’s clear from this interview that Danny was so in over his head and he knew it. No wonder he blamed the judges’ hype (for Adam’s loss) since he felt it keenly for himself. It takes self-awareness to say “I didn’t live up to the hype” so kudos to him, and I do hope he continues to grow.

I guess Danny gets plus points (from me) for saying Adam is a great guy. Hmmm – so I wonder who Adam didn’t get along with in the mansion??? Sarver I bet. Wasn’t he supposed to have said something like where he was from, people (like Adam) were either in the closet or dead? Can’t imagine Adam not being upset with that.

ETA : And thank you Kris for biting the bullet and choosing the duet song. Kris basically had to do everything!

Kris Allen finally gets some (media) respect, y’all. Although to be perfectly honest, the online blurb was much more interesting than the print one – what with lip-synching, calling Danny a ‘jerk’, nail polish and the Christian vote being tackled on Missy Schwartz‘s online article.
